Last year, retail sales increased by 5.6 percent in the Czech Republic
Retail sales increased by 5.6 percent in the Czech Republic in 2016 on an annual basis – the Czech Statistical Office (CSU) announced on Monday in Prague.
Statisticians said that growth occured in all months of the previous year. The highest increase – 7.9 percent – took place in November, probably due to early Christmas shoppers.
Last year, the sale of the web stores increased the fastest in an annual comparison by 21.9 percent. (Kokes János, MTI)
