European governments promote diets with protein alternatives
Several European countries are supporting plant-based and other alternative protein based diets, according to a PLMA International summary.

In Denmark the government has adopted an action plan to encourage the country’s move towards plant-based foods and the production of plant proteins. The German government has earmarked EUR 30m in 2024 to promote precision-fermented, plant-based and cultivated meat and dairy alternatives. In the UK 2023 was a record year for funding research into alternative proteins, while the Dutch government is supporting projects on cellular agriculture, cultivated meat from cells and animal-free dairy. //
