Virtual makeup try-on tool instead of testers
Mineral Fusion joins the Perfect Corp. brand partner roster with the launch of virtual try-on on MineralFusion.com and QR code in-store display roll out to Whole Foods Markets giving shoppers an easy, non-touch way to safely try before they buy.
According to the announcement on BusinessWire 22. March Perfect Corp. the leading global beauty tech solutions provider and developer of the award-winning YouCam Makeup app, partners with natural beauty brand, Mineral Fusion.
“The beauty industry has seen significant consumer shifts this year due to COVID-19,” Amy Jargo, global beauty buyer at Whole Foods, said in a statement. “Customers are looking to streamline their beauty routines, while also seeking out brands that align with their values like those that limit their environmental impact with waterless and upcycled products.”
The Amazon-owned grocer has been active in the beauty space, from celebrating an annual beauty sale to making annual trend predictions. The chain has the advantage of frequent repeat customers, but Whole Foods also needs to distinguish itself from other beauty and wellness retailers. The introduction of the virtual tester can be a tool of differentiation.
Beautifying application
Mineral Fusion’s new Virtual Try On Tool is powered by AI/AR technology from Perfect Corp., and allows customers to discover and experiment with the full range of color cosmetics offered by Mineral Fusion — the #1 EWG VERIFIED™ natural cosmetics brand — on Mineralfusion.com on any mobile device or desktop. The Mineral Fusion Virtual Try-On Tool will also be available in Whole Foods stores where shoppers can scan a QR code featured on the in-store displays to instantly try on products through their mobile device.
The Virtual Try-On-Tool is a safer alternative to testers allowing online and brick-and-mortar customers to find the products and the shades of their choice. Shoppers can try on shades using a preselected model image, uploading a photo, or even via live cameras. A fast, safe and enjoyable experience, especially for members of Generations Y and Z.
“Mineral Fusion is thrilled to partner with the industry-leading solution provider Perfect Corp. and the leading natural retailer Whole Foods to help customers find the perfect shades of their favorite cosmetic items, no matter how or where they choose to shop.” said Stella Huang, Director of Digital Marketing for Mineral Fusion.
Beauty platform of the future
Beauty shoppers can experience the Mineral Fusion Virtual Try-On tool on MineralFusion.com or at their local Whole Foods Market via QR code.
