Serving home-made pálinka at events
Then Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI) has asked the Pest County directorate of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) to give their opinion on the rules of serving home-distilled pálinka at events. Director Dr Mihály Minya told that such spirits area allowed to be served at private events – if no selling takes place.
The source of home-made spirit must be certified and the quantity of the spirit taken to the venue of the event has to be declared in writing. When the programme of the private event ends, the home-distilled pálinka must be instantly removed from the venue, so that the following day the bar or restaurant that hosted the event won’t have spirits owned by others on the premises. //
