Damaged products, undelivered packages – tips for sending the right Christmas package
During the Christmas period, the number of package deliveries also increases by leaps and bounds. However, this also means that even more incorrectly sent packages end up in the warehouse, which cannot be delivered, the item inside is damaged, or it can cause misunderstandings. The specialists of Packeta, which plays a decisive role in the package delivery market in Hungary, gathered what to pack, what to pack in, and most importantly, how to pack so that the sent item reaches its destination without any problems.
“The package season before Christmas is the strongest period of the year for courier services, but it is also worth paying attention to the packaging throughout the year, as this way you can greatly reduce the chance that our shipment will not reach the recipient damaged or at all.”
– said Sándor Mihályi, operations director of Packeta Hungary Kft.
“In recent years, our employees have come across many cases in which the delivery was thwarted by inadequate packaging. It has happened several times that even overweight packages have been delivered in newspaper, which barely make it to the warehouse in one piece, but we have also seen ornamental fish delivered in bags, even though for example, we do not even undertake the transport of live animals.”
