Randstad HR Trends: Should our jobs be afraid of AI?
Although more and more people around the world are using artificial intelligence (AI) in their work, almost half of the top managers in Hungary do not yet see clearly the possibilities of its use, although the same number are open to its use. So far, there are no concrete signs that artificial intelligence will take our jobs – although domestic companies do not yet have a unanimous answer to what effect AI will have on the labor market. However, according to a global survey by Randstad, employees have a more definite opinion: more than half of them see the benefits of AI, and nearly half are excited about the workplace opportunities inherent in artificial intelligence.
At the beginning of February, Randstad published the first details of the “HR Trends 2024” research. Through the data obtained from the research carried out by interviewing the senior managers of more than 350 domestic companies operating in various industries, we were able to gain insight into the business prospects of the corporate sector, their HR challenges, their plans for staff expansion, wage increases and working from home, among other things, and information about the benefits they provide. In addition to these, AI was also discussed in the research: the attitudes of the top managers of Hungarian companies regarding artificial intelligence were also examined. The results of the survey, together with the results of the “Workmonitor Pulse Survey” for the third quarter of 2023, paint an exciting picture of the relationship between AI and the world of work.
