Randstad on “HR Trends 2023”: unrealistic salary demands and little experience remain the biggest HR challenges
On February 20, Randstad published the first details of the “HR Trends 2023” research. The research conducted with the participation of nearly 250, mostly medium-sized and large companies, revealed:
- only 41% of managers expect their company’s net sales to increase – compared to 61% last year;
the majority of the respondents believe that the problems causing the most headaches of the year will be the increased wage - costs due to inflation (71%) and higher operating costs (61%);
- according to 62%, in response to a possible recession, their company will reassess its labor needs, half of the respondents will cut operating costs, and 48% may freeze hiring during the critical period;
- 97% plan a wage increase – last year this rate was 83% – it is true, however, that the rate of the increase is again below the expectations of the workers and the rate of expected inflation.
