Profession.hu: The home office vision of companies and employees began to diverge
The attitude of Hungarian employees and employers towards working from home has also changed somewhat since last year. Compared to the previous year, a smaller proportion of employees believe that they perform better in a home office, and the experience of employees is divided on the effect of the working form on mental health, according to the representative research of Profession.hu.
Working from home spread quickly and widely throughout the country during the epidemic situation, but after a few years, the rules for it seem to be changing and becoming stricter in many places. For three-quarters of employees, the framework for home office work has remained since then, but the majority of employees expect to be tightened. 16% of those who are currently allowed to work from home would not tolerate it if their employer significantly restricted the conditions for this, and would even resign as a result. Almost half of the respondents indicated that although they would not resign, they would not be happy about the tightening, and 9% would ask for some kind of compensation in return. 18% is the proportion of those who would support the narrowing of the employees’ freedom of movement in this area. Different age groups have different opinions about the possible tightening: the older the employee group, the more typically they support it: while for 30-39-year-olds this rate is only 11%, for 40-49-year-olds 21%, for 50- and 27% in the 59-year-old age group.
