Profession.hu: job seekers face increasing competition
The number of applications for advertised jobs increased in all counties of Hungary in the fourth quarter of last year, the national average was 34 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year, while the number of posted job advertisements decreased by 17 percent, Profession.hu announced on Thursday with MTI, its own based on its database.
The job portal indicated: in the counties of Heves, Fejér, Komárom-Esztergom and Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, more jobs were advertised in the fourth quarter of last year than in the last quarter of 2021, but the volume of recruitment in other areas of the country decreased, including 39 in Zala, 34 in Nógrád, and 22 percent in Budapest.
Among the various fields of expertise, job advertisements posted in the company management and management category, as well as those looking for engineers, increased, while in other cases, companies were looking for fewer people than at this time last year. The most spectacular decrease occurred in the IT programming, development and catering categories, where the drop was 39 and 34 percent, respectively.
