Profession.hu: According to Hungarians, commuting is better now than 6 years ago
According to a significant majority of Hungarian workers, in addition to salary, the distance from their place of residence is the most important factor when looking for a new job. This is also due to the fact that two-thirds of them work in the same settlement as where they live. Among those who have to travel longer distances, the number of car users has increased and overall they are more satisfied with their travel conditions than 6 years ago.
At the end of 2023, Profession.hu analyzed its own data and showed that the location of potential workplaces is a priority for Hungarian job seekers, and in fact, the majority specifically insists on location-based job searches: 90% of them filter ads based on this. A big advantage of workplaces close to where you live is that you can save considerable time by avoiding commuting. Repeating last year’s research, Profession.hu assessed the commuting habits and solution options of employees active in the domestic labor market on a representative sample.
