P&G: Natural solutions
Procter&Gamble will become a climate-neutral company by 2030. P&G is going to invest in solutions available naturally to achieve this goal, for instance by stepping up the company’s forest and soil management activities, in order to offset their 30-million-ton greenhouse gas emission in the next 10 years. P&G’s main objective is to halve its greenhouse gas emission and to acquire electricity from renewable sources.
Communications PR manager Yvette Krubl told: the company’s products reach 5 billion people per day, so in innovation work it is a priority to make products that can reduce the individual ecological footprint of consumers, as more than 60 percent of the carbon footprint of laundry detergents and cleaning products originates from consumer use. The latest Ariel and Lenor products have been optimised for washing at low temperature. Jar dishwasher capsules need less and lower-temperature water. (x)
