Mainstream breweries are launching more and more pale ales (PA) in the Hungarian market. The beer’s strong hopped version is called IPA, while the ones made with trendy US hops is called APA. Usually the alcohol content of these beers is around 5 percent. This autumn the Pécs brewery came out with an APA, which is the first product in the company’s new, super premium product range.
At the same time the Sopron brewery also put an Óvatos Duhaj APA on the market – we didn’t have the chance to test this before the present issue of the magazine went to press.
