Diageo has agreed to launch a five-year digital transformation program with SAP and IBM
Diageo, known for the production and distribution of world-famous beverage brands, has launched a program to completely modernize its IT environment. Diageo, which owns brands such as Guinness, Smirnoff and Johnnie Walker, aims to redesign and improve its processes in all 180 countries where the company operates. SAP and IBM teamed up to implement the company’s largest and most comprehensive strategic project to date.
The program, which covers 180 countries worldwide, revolutionizes Diageo’s IT environment: it introduces intuitive processes supported by market-leading technology with the aim of providing more information within the company for better and faster decision-making. This transformation will enhance Diageo’s business resilience in an ever-changing external environment, improve its customer service operations and help the company adapt to a rapidly changing consumer base.
As part of the program, with the support of IBM Consulting, they will switch to the cloud-based RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud enterprise management system. By introducing the new model, Diageo ensures that its IT infrastructure is simplified and that it can enjoy central support worldwide.
