What the future will bring? An online conference titled Trends and Challenges in Sustainable Agriculture was organized by the Ecological Agricultural Research Institute (ÖMKi). The meeting revealed that in 2019 the size of the Hungarian ecological areas exceeded 300 thousand hectares, thus doubling the size of the Hungarian organic areas in five years – agrarszektor.hu wrote.

The European Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), which is currently crystallizing, provides an opportunity to further support organic food production and consumption, which domestic producers must also take advantage of. At the same time, the participants of the conference emphasized that in addition to the dynamic territorial growth, it is important to focus the resources of the next support cycle on the development of the organic food product chain and the expansion of the domestic market.
