Procter & Gamble and Rossmann team up to alleviate menstrual poverty
Procter & Gamble donates one pad to the Hungarian Red Cross’ #lánybólnővé program for every package of Always pads purchased at Rossmann.
The program created to alleviate menstrual poverty supports young girls who, due to financial reasons, are often unable to access appropriate hygiene products during their periods, and even miss school because of this. So far, Procter & Gamble’s Always brand has donated a total of 47,670 packages, i.e. 953,400 Always pads, to school girls thanks to this program.
This year, together with Rossmann Hungary, Procter & Gamble is supporting the #lánybólnővé program of the Red Cross. The problems caused by menstrual poverty are also significant in our country, in many cases school-age girls cannot afford to buy appropriate and basic intimate hygiene products, and this often results in them not being able to attend classes.
