At the March trade show the nominated cakes were displayed in glass cases. During the judging both competitors and visitors were able to see and hear the evaluation of the competition entries.

The professional audience and members of the press could also have a look at the cakes
The jury will announce the winner after three rounds of judging. In the first round the panel selected six cakes from the anonymous entries, which will be tasted again in the second round and suggestions for improvement will be made. In 2024 the theme of the competition was “superfood”, calling attention to Hungarian ingredients with rich nutritional value. This year 31 cakes entered the competition and the following 6 qualified for the final:
– Árvácska – Fanni Paál, Gabriella Kiss (Dobay Confectionery, Budapest), – Fekete Gyöngy – Ádám Novák, Noémi Domonkos (REÖK Artisan Confectionery and Café, Szeged). – Hetedhét – Herbai Ramóna (Forza Italia Kft., Budapest), – Mákvirág – Alfréd Kovács (Édes Vonal, Vác), – Rigófütty – Fodor Sándor (Habcsók Confectionery, Budapest), – Tökibogyó – Csaba Szoljár (Solier Café, Gödöllő) //
