A three and a half to four percent increase might occur next year
The updated expectations of the European Commission and Raiffeisen Bank coincide with those of the Hungarian government, with a decline of 6-6.5 percent this year, followed by an increase of 3.5-4 percent next year.
The European Commission (EC) has improved its expectation of a 7 percent decline this summer to 6.4 percent, according to the commission’s autumn report. However, next year’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth has worsened from 4.9 percent to 4 percent, and it has now also announced a forecast for 2022 that GDP could grow by 4.5 percent.
