Self-review: how we do it in practice
The GasztVitál Group started 2018 with having a self-review system up and running in every one of our kitchens (both cooking and serving kitchens). This system has been set up to make sure that food businesses eliminate the food safety risks in their operations. In this it was of great help that the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH) published the 2nd, revised edition of the Good Hygiene Practice (GHP) Guide. It is a key element of the system to turn the required inspections into a daily routine, which can be performed by workers quickly and easily.
GasztVitál Group also employs food safety managers who visit our kitchens every day. What is more, the company regularly has hygiene, personnel and food tests done in accrdited laboratories, in accordance with our credo, ‘Quality without compromises’. The results of these efforts are reflected very well by the fact that the 43 GasztVitál kithcens scored way above the national average in NÉBIH’s inspections, with a 4.3/5 mark (the national average is 3.1/5). Those who are interested can keep track of our test results at gasztvital.hu. (x)
