Euro area inflation has increased
In June, The European Union’s Statistical Office, the Eurostat reported on Wednesday that contrary to expectations, euro area inflation increased.
In the euro area, inflation increased by 1.3 percent in June from the 1.2 percent of May. Last year, the annual rate of consumer price growth stood at 2.0 percent.
Markets expected an inflation of 1.2 percent, as estimated by Eurostat. (MTI)
