Nielsen: chocolate bunnies are the most popular again
Food retail is selling more and more Easter sweets. Still the rabbit and the egg figures are dominating this segment of the market. It is a new situation that the chocolate bunnies took the market leading fom the cocolate eggs in value.
About 940 tons of chocolate eggs, chocolate bunnies and other festive gifts were sold in stores in a nearly 4 billion HUF value last year at Easter period’s three months. Sales increased by 12 percent in terms of value and by 3 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period of 2013 – the Retail Index of the Nielsen consumer information and knowledge services company reveals.
