Nielsen: The retail sales of cosmetics and household chemicals increased in value, decreased in amount
The retail sales of cosmetics and household chemicals reached 186 billion HUF in the first half of this year, 5 percent more than in January-June last year. In volume 2 percent less cosmetics and household chemicals were sold in the stores – the Nielsen Retail Index reveals.
In value, fabric softeners, deodorants and shower gels achieved an above the average growth among the ten categories with the highest turnover – Kapronczai Balázs, Nielsen’s Customer Relationship Manager informs. In all three categories, the newly introduced products increased turnover. A slight decrease in average prices occured in case of shower gels, due to larger pack sizes. (Nielsen)
