NGM: GINOP Plusz “Improvement of Working Conditions” priority project launches on September 1

The government is doing everything in its power to develop domestic enterprises and improve the working conditions of Hungarian employees. From September 1st, SMEs in the Southern Great Plain region will be the first to apply for support for the purchase of occupational safety equipment under the GINOP Plusz 3.2.5-24-2024-00001 priority project “Development of Working Conditions”.

With the support scheme for the development of occupational safety and health, co-financed by the European Social Fund+ and the Hungarian budget, the government is helping to improve working conditions, reduce the number of accidents and illnesses at work, and protect the health of employees with efficient, modern developments, the announcement says.

In connection with occupational safety developments, businesses can apply for the purchase of protective equipment, signaling devices, and equipment to modernize the workplace environment.

The minimum amount of support that can be requested – with a 100 percent intensity – is 500 thousand, and the maximum is 20 million forints. The amount of support that can be used per development is a maximum of 1 million forints per employee, while a maximum of 2 million forints per device.

In the first stage of the support, a budget of 2 billion forints is available, 65 percent of the total support amount will be announced specifically for businesses in the most disadvantaged regions – Northern Hungary, Northern and Southern Great Plains, and Southern Transdanubia – they wrote.

Applications for support can be submitted in the Southern Great Plains region from September 1, 2025 through the county government offices. In the other regions, the support will be available from September 15. There are 6 months to implement the developments from the conclusion of the support authority contract.
