NGM: retail sales are expanding for forty-two months
While retail sales are expanding for forty-two months, consumption has expanded at a rate has not seen since 2003 in 2016, thanks to improving employment indicators and the low inflation environment – the Ministry of National Economy (NGM) told on Thursday in response to the recent data of the statistical office.
In December last year, retail sales in Hungary increased by 2.8 percent, while in the total year, retail sales in Hungary increased by 4.5 percent in according to the raw data.
The ministry expects that retail expansion continues this year as well as the increase in household consumption. (MTI)
