NGM: The Tourism Advisory Board held its inaugural meeting under the leadership of Márton Nagy
The Tourism Advisory Board was established and held its first meeting on Tuesday, which will function as an advisory and consultative body of the Ministry of National Economy in matters affecting the tourism sector – the Ministry of National Economy (NGM) announced to MTI on Tuesday.
Its meetings are held quarterly in cooperation with the Hungarian Tourist Agency. More than 30 professional organizations were invited to the inaugural meeting of the board, including the Balaton Development Council, the Hungarian Bathing Association, the Association of Hungarian Hotels and Restaurants, the Tokaj Wine Region Development Council or the Association of Hungarian Travel Agencies.
The purpose of the board is to help the government with information and suggestions from the players of the sector, so that the most well-founded government decisions can be made on matters of strategic importance related to tourism and hospitality. This also promotes the more efficient use of the opportunities of Hungarian tourism and its increasingly rapid development, at the same time contributing to Hungary becoming an even more attractive destination for foreign and domestic tourists as well as business travelers.
