NGM: the growth in retail sales is continuous for 22 months
It is very positive that the growth in retail sales is continuous for 22 months – Lenner Áron Márk, Deputy Minister of State of the Ministry of National Economy (NGM) commented the latest data of the Central Statistical Office on Wednesday on M1 news channel.
Lenner Áron Márk said that the growth has such a high degree that it has a positive effect on the country's gross domestic product of (GDP) as well.
He emphasized that the calendar-adjusted data is showing a 5.3 percent increase in April, compared to the previous year. The increase was primarily due to the positive contribution of labor market trends, as more people are working than ever before, the real wages are growing and consumer confidence is favorable. People are buying consumer durables – he added. (MTI)
