NGM: Hungarian retail grew above the European average
The Hungarian retail sales growth in April was the fourth largest in the European Union, significantly above the EU average of 2.4 percent – the Ministry of National Economy (NGM) told MTI on Friday in response to the Central Statistical Office’s (KSH) latest data.
According to the latest KSH reports the April retail sales volume exceeded 5.0 percent over the previous year. Calendar effect adjusted, the increase was 6.7 percent. In April, the growth in turnover lasts for a consecutive 34 months since mid-2013 without interruption. (MTI)
