NÉBIH: there is a shortage of eco seeds
There is a shortage of domestic propagated eco seeds, so it is worth to the seed producers to register their products on the National Food Chain Safety Office’s (NÉBIH) database – the NÉBIH called the attention on Thursday.
The NÉBIH reminds that during eco (bio) cultivation it is a principle to use certified organically produced seed, but since there is a lack of such seeds in the market, the legislation allows the use of untreated conventional certified seed as well, which requires the authorization of the eco certification body.
