Oettinger acquires non-alcoholic functional beer brand JoyBräu
German beer and soft drink maker Oettinger has acquired protein beer producer JoyBräu. The Hamburg-based start-up, founded in 2016, holds two patents for manufacturing and processing technology used in making non-alcoholic functional beers. Prior to the acquisition by Oettinger, the company exported to China, Japan, South Korea and the Middle East, selling more than six million cans of beer in 2022.
