Hungarian companies can count on increased job-seeking activity
Employee activity increased further in the third quarter of 2023 in Hungary. In all but three counties, the number of applications increased compared to the same period of the previous year, by an average of 25.7 percent. The biggest increase in the number of applications occurred in the counties of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and Tolna, as well as in Budapest, according to the current quarterly report of Profession.hu.
The number of advertised jobs decreased in all but three counties, the largest in the counties of Pest (29%), Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén (28%) and Heves (also 28%). An increase was observed in the counties of Hajdú-Bihar (12.9%) and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg (3.6%).
In the third quarter of 2023, the volume of recruitment slowed down mainly in the categories of company management, management (36.6%), HR, labor affairs (35.4%) and business support centers (35.3%), and the largest increase was seen in agriculture, environment ( 21.9%) and the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry (8.51%) categories showed.
