The Hungarian melons are available in several supermarket chains

The Hungarian melons have appeared in the stores of several supermarket chains. Sales grew from other seasonal products as well: from mineral water, soft drinks and ice cream – the chains told MTI on Monday.

The Auchan Magyarország Kft. told that the watermelon is still the chain's most popular summer fruit. The Hungarian melons have appeared in the store shelves during the first week of July.

From next week, only Hungarian watermelons will be sold in the Tesco stores and in the stores of the Spar Magyarország Kereskedelmi Kft. Hungarian melon will have a high priority. For the promotion of the Hungarian watermelon Spar launches a road show around the Lake Balaton as well. (MTI)
