Success of Hungarian wines in Stockholm
Hungarian wines were introduced in Sweden in the scope of a large-scale demonstration. The event organized by the National Foreign Trade Office (HITA) was accompanied by high attention both from sides of exhibitors and visitors.
At the tasting held at the Hungarian Embassy in Stockholm on 16 October 2012, 19 exhibitors showed 129 products of 32 Hungarian wineries to 100 guests from solely professional circles. The Swedish wine professionals (importers, sommeliers's, journalists and the public monopoly purchasers) could get acquainted with the authentic terroir wines of Hungary, the characteristics of each terroir, and the individual varieties of different wine regions at thematic master classes. After the courses a walking tasting took place, where guests can get acquainted with the Hungarian producers and their wines in the scope of an informal meeting.
