Hungarian Product sets the bar high in 2019
Trademark system Hungarian Product has had a more successful year than ever before. By the end of 2018 the number of trademark users grew to 170 – informed Eszter Benedek, managing director of HUNGARIAN PRODUCT Nonprofit Kft. A record-breaking 15 companies have joined the prize game that lasts until January 2019. Hungarian Product also implemented 27 retail chain specific promotions with products that bear the trademark. In 2018 Hungarian Product launched a series of forums where retail chains (METRO and CBA were the first hosts) invite trademark using companies, and it was also this year that the Agóra conference series started.
Next year Hungarian Product sets the bar even higher, adding quality certification to its portfolio. They are cooperating with the Ministry of Agriculture in developing the new system, for which there is demand from both the manufacturer and the shopper sides. What is more, Ms Benedek is of the opinion that manufacturers also want product excellence to be rewarded in other forms, so Hungarian Product is considering the foundation of a credible and transparent product award scheme that would also give winners significant marketing support.
