The daily consumption of vegetables and fruits by Hungarians is lagging behind
The consumption of vegetables and fruits by children aged 1-3 still reaches the daily intake recommended by the WHO, but this amount decreases with age. Children aged 1-3 eat 41 dkg of vegetables and fruits a day. The 4-10-year-olds eat only 34 dkg, while the 11-18-year-olds only 27, according to a previous analysis of the National Association of Hungarian Dietitians, which examined the eating habits of the Hungarian 0-18-year-olds.
Although the need for conscious nutrition is growing over the age of 18, we are still lagging behind the guiding daily minimum of 40 dkg. In the fall, getting fresh vegetables and fruits can be a headache for many, but in other ways, even with my vegetable pate, we can bring the necessary vitamins into our bodies.
