Slowdown in GDP growth in the euro area
In the second quarter, GDP growth slowed in the euro zone and in the European Union – according to the report of Eurostat published on Tuesday.
According to the third and final calculation of EU's statistical office, in the second quarter, in the 19 member states of the euro area; gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.3 percent seasonally adjusted, while in the 28 member states of the European Union increased by 0.4 percent, compared to the previous quarter. In the first quarter the quarterly GDP growth was 0.5 percent in both regions. (MTI)
