KSH: the consumer price level remained unchanged in August
The consumer price level remained unchanged in August, compared to the same period of last year, while compared with July consumer prices decreased by an average of 0.6 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Tuesday.
The highest degree of increase occured in the price of alcoholic beverages and tobacco prices, while the price of fuels and household energy declined in an annual comparison.
Consumer prices in the first eight months of the year were on average 0.2 percent lower, compared to the same period of last year.
The seasonally adjusted core inflation in August was 1.2 percent in an annual, and 0.1 percent in a monthly comparison. (MTI)
