KSH: prices increased by 2.8 percent in September

Consumer prices increased by 2.8 percent on average in September, compared to a year before. Compared to August prices increased by 0.1 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday.

Seasonally adjusted annual core inflation increased from 3.7 percent of the previous month to 3.9 percent in September, after a 0.2 percent monthly core inflation.

Food and tobacco prices rose the most in a year, by 5.1 percent and 12.3 percent, respectively. (MTI)
