Magazine: Creativity at the highest level
After the online announcement of the results in February, the winners of POPAI Student Design Awards received their prizes in person at the Budapest University of Technology and Economic, on 3 March 2022.
The competition’s theme sponsor was PICK and University students studying design were eligible for entering the competition, with 3 display designs: a PICK on-shelf display, a PICK carton display and a PICK SDC refrigerator display. Students first presented their ideas on 29 October 2021. The jury of experts evaluated the competition entries in two rounds, in October and December. Members of the panel included the representatives of SPAR, PICK, advertising agency Promission and POPAI Hungary’s general secretary.
Boglárka Kovács and Boglárka Balassa finished third in the competition (they won HUF 10,000 PICK gift packs), the runner up was Míra Majoros (she received a HUF 50,000 SPAR gift card) and the winners were Dóra Molnár, Dorka Enikő Bősze and Tamás Takács (they each went home with a HUF 100,000 voucher). The winners and the special award winners – altogether 6 works – will represent Hungary at this year’s Shop! Global Awards POP competition in the Student Design category. Congratulations to the winners! //
