Magazine: Collective declaration for data-driven tourism
In November hospitality units and tourist attractions also join the National Tourism Data Supply Centre (NTAK), and as a result of this Hungary’s most comprehensive, real time big data set can support the development of Hungary’s tourism sectors. The Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) and the most important trade associations – including the Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI) – reinforced the goals by signing a joint declaration.
With the new NTAK system, which will provide a comprehensive picture of the whole sector from the second half of 2022, it will be easier to decide whom campaigns should target and where, what kind of messages could work and where to finance further development projects.

An important element of the amended tourism act is that after places of accommodation (the latest data on 42,000 such places), there will also be updated data available on the capacity, utilisation rate and main consumption categories of restaurants and tourist attractions. Registration starts in November and data supply commences in July 2022. //
