A food crisis is approaching
Due to the Earth’s growing population and to the changing dietary habits, the world’s agri-food sector will be facing challenges in the decades to come – agreed the experts who met at K&H Bank’s Agriculture Club event in June. K&H head of department István Tresó told: by 2050 the world’s population will grow by 30 percent, while demand for food will jump 70 percent. Dr József Popp, professor of the University of Debrecen forecasted that meat and dairy consumption is going to surge. //
