Topesa Kft. from Csurgó has modernized its slaughterhouse
Topesa Kft., which deals in pork processing, more than doubled its capacity with the 445 million HUF modernization of its slaughterhouse, the managing director of the Csurgó company informed MTI.
László Somogyi reported that the Hungarian-owned company producing half-skinned pigs purchased a slaughterhouse machine line and a cutting line as part of the development benefiting from HUF 269 million European Union and domestic tender support, and also had a new slaughterhouse built on its own.
With the investment, Topesa can slaughter up to a thousand pigs per day instead of 400-450 per day, and it can increase its product range with cut meat products with a new planned development of around half a billion forints, he said. He added that in connection with the latter, the number of employees would be increased from 72 to 100-120.
