Smaller environmental burden from Canon, with carbon neutral paper
The modern business-minded person understands that digital platforms keep replacing traditional devices. At the same time, tech products are subject to constant change and obsolescence.
Technology is transforming almost every aspect of business, except for the simple use of paper. Paper remains a powerful way to preserve and transmit information in business and commerce.
In line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Canon is continuously improving its operations, working to minimise its ecological footprint. The company seeks to offset ongoing emissions through various sustainability improvements, and is cooperating with ClimatePartner on hydro- and wind energy projects to reduce its carbon emissions. Plus Canon is introducing carbon neutral technical papers, as a key raw material for the printing sector, with both Red Label Zero FSC and Recycled White Zero FSC being EU Ecolabel certified.
Carbon neutral papers for a wide range of uses
Red Label Zero FSC is a lightweight paper, available in thirty different grades, weighing just 75g/m², and available in widths from 210mm to 1,067mm, in rolls of 175 or up to 200 metres. All of these products are made from carbon neutral materials. Recycled White Zero FSC weighs 80g/m², and is available in widths from 297mm to 914mm, in rolls of 150 metres. White Zero FSC is made from 100% recycled waste paper. Both papers are compatible with Canon’s ColorWave, PlotWave and imagePROGRAF wide-format printers.
Water-based pigment inks
Canon’s water-based pigment inks can be easily removed from the paper, so that after bleaching the sheets, the same paper can be reused several times, in the same quality. Canon Production Printing water-based pigment inks can be removed from a wide range of paper types, including inkjet-treated and inkjet-coated papers.
ImagePROGRAF TC-20M wide-format A1+ compact desktop printer
Designed with sustainability in mind, the Canon imagePROGRAF TC-20M low energy use, wide-format A1+ compact desktop printer utilises less than 26W in working mode and only 2.4W when on standby. An ideal choice for printing everything – from posters for retail stores and restaurants to educational materials for schools, technical and blueprint drawings – the imagePROGRAF TC-20M has easy-to-use and space-saving design, including a flatbed scanner, USB print support, and wireless printing via a mobile app. No PC is required for operation and users can perform printing and copying tasks directly from the control panel. The imagePROGRAF TC-20M is 968mm wide, 525mm deep and 245mm high, it supports A1+ width paper rolls, and has a standard automatic sheet feeder compatible with A3 and A4 paper. (x)
