Sustainable catering during the pandemic
Sustainability efforts – working with local suppliers, seasonal menus, etc. – have just recently started in the Hungarian restaurant business. As a reaction to the coronavirus pandemic, the Responsible Gastro Hero Foundation is helping member restaurants with online meetings where experiences can be shared, and with providing them with the latest information about the situation. Luckily many catering units quickly adapted to the new situation, e.g. community café UrbanFood Cafe&Coworking joined forces with partner suppliers and Wolt, and started selling fresh seasonal fruits, vegetables, dairy products and bakery items too. //
