Kométa 55 tons less salt in a year
The Kométa significantly reduced the salt content of its products by nearly 70 percent, while the taste experience remained unchanged. Thanks to the salt reduction program, the food manufacturer has used 55 tonnes less salt since the announcement of a year ago.
The food producer that is generating 42 billion HUF turnover last year is able to report not only on plans but also on results in salt reduction. One year ago, the company launched its program to reduce the salt content of its blue labeled products by 25 percent while retaining the true taste. At the moment, nearly 70 percent of the entire product range is salt reduced, but new products are continuously added to the program.
