The majority of the SMEs spend less than one percent of the turnover on information technology equipment
The Hungarian small and medium-sized companies consider Internet use important: 84 percent of them have their own website, operated by professionals, but most of them spend less than one percent of their turnover on buying computing and telecommunications devices – according to the survey of the Gazdaság- és Vállalkozáskutató Intézet (GVI).
The analysis shows that all businesses use the Internet in some form, most often in liaising with clients, in website operation and administration. More than half of the respondents research online market trends and new legislations and looking for business partners and suppliers. Forty percent of them – mainly commercial and manufacturing enterprises – is recruiting new employees on the World Wide Web, or looking for business are advices. (MTI)
