The British supermarket chain’s Christmas ad caused an outrage
British supermarket chain Waitrose’s Christmas ad featured tanned skin as an ideal, which the skin cancer charity Melanoma UK didn’t like very much.
The Christmas short film was titled It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas, and according to the concept, it is meant to show how kind, dedicated people work for the outstanding quality of the retail giant’s products, reports LadBible.
At one point, two farmers enthusiastically compare their tanned skin as they work in the hot sun.
This was what Melanoma UK already had a lot of, as they irresponsibly promoted dangerous tanning.
Waitrose eventually apologized for the video.
