High water quality for the vast majority of the EU and Hungarian baths
According to the report of the European Commission and the European Environment Agency, the water quality in the European Union’s and Hungary’s baths and beaches is high.
At EU level, 95 percent of the more than 21 thousand tested bathing areas met the minimum water quality standards, while 83 percent also reached an excellent qualification.
In Hungary, a total of 244 baths were tested of which 201 were managed to qualify. In 77 percent of the cases, water quality is excellent, and in another 18 percent is good. In 6 cases the baths met the minimum requirements, only four baths can be found in Hungary, where the water quality is not adequate. (Konsiczky Zoltán, MTI)
