The school apple program was expanded

The Agricultural and Rural Development Agency published the list of products and product quantities that can be transported into the public educational institutions in the 2012/2013 school year.

In the current school year, the Ministry of Rural Development facilitated the conditions of the school fruit program. In the future the educational institutions can claim the products more efficiently and easily and the administration of suppliers and the authorities has also been reduced.

The intention of the Ministry of Rural Development’s program is to provide access to children (primary school 1-4. Grade) to fresh fruits and vegetables, and healthy products. In the past, the program supported only apples. From this year other fresh vegetables, fruits – pears, cherries, cherry, apricot, peach, nectarine, plum, red and black currants, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, grapes, cantaloupe, watermelon, walnuts and almonds carrots, celery, radishes beets, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, cauliflower, broccoli, green peas are also participating in the program, and 100 percent fruit juices are also available.
