K&H: What worries the citizens of the world?
The term “sustainability” has entered the vocabulary of everyday life. According to a research covering 34 countries, among the problems that concern people, the most frequently used concepts – such as “environmental protection”, “waste”, “climate change” and “affordable and clean energy” – are all closely related to the issue of sustainability. According to Suba Levente, sustainability program manager of the K&H Group, every individual and company must first start the change within themselves.
“What’s Worrying the World?” The market research company Ipsos conducted a survey in 34 countries with ). The research made it clear that people focus most on the immediate concerns that affect them on a day-to-day basis.
On average worldwide, providing “affordable and clean energy” is the number one issue (26 percent). The focus then shifts to core social issues: “eradicating poverty and reducing inequality” and “ensuring good health and well-being for all” (both 23 percent). The Hungarian data are in line with the indicators measured globally – although understandably – Hungarians consider “affordable and clean energy” far above the world average (36 percent).
