PLMA Trade Show kicks off
PLMA is presenting over the course of four days, from 1 to 4 December, a series of dedicated, category-specific trade shows, wherein private label buyers and suppliers meet. More than 1.000 exhibiting companies from 61 countries wait the visitors from more than 100 countries.
We have previously reported that due to the pandemic, PLMA was forced to postpone its annual Amsterdam event, which has been the world meeting of the private label industry for 35 years. Finally, “Life is Good in Private Label” was moved to the cloud and December 1-4. published on.
Exhibitors and their porticoes
Exhibitors from all over the world came to the virtual space from Albania through Indonesia to Vietnam, with every continent represented. Among others, Swiss, Chinese, Greek, Italian, Spanish, Estonian, Lithuanian, Czech and Israeli community appearances can be found on the site.
Specialities
There are 7 big categories – food, pet products, health&beauty, household products, houseware&others, trade suppliers, service suppliers – helping to monitor the products and services offered by the exhibitors. By far the most populous product group is the food, accounting for 67% of exhibitors. 7 Hungarian companies appear in it, Aloha with Csinta brand, Cornexi with musle and oat products, Felföldi with flavouring straws, Hunorganic with it’s us flour mixes, Kecskeméti konzerv with canned vegetables, Popz with popcorn and Sanaplus with vitamins. Int he pet product category Nagyhegyesi takarmány represents hungary with dry and wet pet food.
There is a separate search option for product specialities like soy products, gluten free products, organic products, vegetarian products, vegan products and fair trade products. Among them organic is the most popolous with 299 products.
Visitors
Thousands of buyers from supermarkets, hypermarkets, discounters, drugstores and department stores and wholesalers, as well as importers and exporters, sales agents and packaging & design experts from more than 100 countries have registered in advance and received special access to attend today the biggest digital private label B2B platform in the world.
PLMA was required to postpone its hugely popular and well-attended in-person annual event, and the association pivoted to reproduce the event online by accelerating completion of a digital trade show platform that had been in development for years, according to PLMA President Peggy Davies „… the show must go on and it will go on — virtually.”
