Few really innovative products
GfK Hungária’s latest newsletter has revealed that only 20 percent of new products are real innovations (new brands or sub-brands). All other new products are so-called renovations – versions of an existing product (in terms of colour, taste, size, etc.). 23 percent of all big innovations come from branded products, 17 percent are launched by major retailers and 11 percent belong to discount stores.
